Foreword

Abstract

On October 11-13, 2009, at the University of Catania, the Meeting entitled Conservation in situ and ex situ, and the 2010 countdown took place, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the Nuova Gussonea Botanical garden, located on Mt Etna, at 1,700 m, in a State property forest and within the Natural Etna Park. The Meeting took place in the Aula Magna of the University, and ended with a visit to the Nuova Gussonea Botanical garden and other interesting locations of the Etna Park.
