Abstract

The Regional Department of the Regional property Agency manages an area of more than 600.000 hectares; it plays, therefore, a remarkable role for in in situ plant conservation. After the acquisition by the Department Agency of new land, the in situ conservation within the regional property reached a very large extension territories. Moreover the Department Agency recently promoted actions aimed to the ex situ conservation, such as further study activities, increase of seed banks, realization of two regional seed bank Centers.
