Abstract

The research activities on "sustainable" wastewater treatments, and numerous applications in Italy and abroad, have highlighted the potential application of natural systems, such as constructed wetlands systems, highlighting also their natural value. Those systems are an efficient wastewater treatment, characterized by low costs and maintenance, and also provide to retrain the area due to the microenvironments which they contain. In this memory are reported the data of an extensive campaign on a full scale horizontal sub-surface flow constructed wetland plant, built in San Michele di Ganzaria (CT), by sampling and analysing the treated wastewater.
