Some Problems on Boundary Controllability for PDEs

Abstract

This paper deals with null boundary controllability of two PDE's in one-dimensional \( x \)-space and time \( t > 0 \), modeling a composite solid with different physical properties in each semi-infinite layer. Interface conditions are assumed. Furthermore, it is pointed out possible extensions of such an investigation to two-dimensional \( (x, y) \)-space.
